Idaho State junior Angela Walker collected her first Big Sky Conference Women’s Tennis Player of the Week honor Wednesday after earning two wins in Boise last weekend.

Walker opened the 2020 season Saturday with a 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 win over Seattle’s Jade Lancaster at No. 5 singles in Idaho State’s 4-3 loss.

In a 7-0 loss to Boise State on Sunday, Walker and Alexandra Arkhipov earned the Bengals’ lone win of the afternoon with a 7-6 (7-3) doubles victory over Mae McCutcheon and Vanessa Timm.
