I do that hope Idaho State University can be resurrected. President Satterlee will have his work cut out for him. And I wish the new president of ISU well. I left Idaho because ISU was collapsing and I did not want to be a faculty member at a failed university. I was extremely disappointed that several members in the leadership of the Bannock Country Democrats such as Roy Lacey, Diane Bilyeu, Elaine Smith and Mark Nye were not making any ostensible or credible progress in helping the university in the face of the imminent collapse of ISU. Why were these individuals such supporters of President Vailas? Do they not care about ISU? Anyway, I saw no political solution to the mess there. So I left. I will miss the beauty of Pocatello and my many good colleagues at ISU.
