Wednesday-Saturday, July 15-18The Idaho International Choral Festival returns to Pocatello Wednesday through Saturday, July 15-18, with evening performances at 7 p.m. in the Jensen Grand Concert Hall at the Stephens Performing Arts Center or Goranson Hall in ISU’s Fine Arts Building, culminating in a Gala Concert featuring all choirs at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Jensen Grand Concert Hall. Thursday, July 16Live jazz trio Speakeasy performs in the Yellowstone Lounge, 230 W. Bonneville St. in Pocatello, from 6 to 8 p.m. every Thursday, featuring jazz classics from the 1930s in the style of Benny Goodman, with Keith Ward on clarinet/sax, Freddy Gildersleeve on guitar and Tanya Johnson on upright. Friday, July 17“The Christophers” plays at 5 and 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 17, at ISU’s Bengal Theater. This comedy/drama stars Ian McKellen in a story about a once-celebrated, aging London artist whose estranged, greedy children hire a young, technically brilliant art forger to secretly complete his legendary unfinished canvases so they can cash in on a fortune after his death. Admission is free for ISU students, $2 for ISU employees and $3 for the public.

Wines in the Wild will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday, July 17, at the Idaho Falls Zoo at Tautphaus Park, 2725 Carnival Way in Idaho Falls. This event pairs wine tasting with art and wildlife. Attendees will receive a tasting passport, which allows them to have 5-ounce drinks at any themed station. As attendees explore the zoo, local artists will be creating paintings. Their paintings along with other animal and nature themed art will be available for bidding through a silent auction This event is only for those aged 21 and older. Friday & Saturday, July 17-18Summer Market Days return Friday and Saturday, July 17 and 18, at the Mountain America Center, 1690 Event Center Drive in Idaho Falls. The event begins at noon Friday, July 17, and 10 a.m. Saturday, July 18. This free event includes a mix of small and popular shops from the region, as well as food trucks, live performances and artisans. Space Kittens will perform from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.

Saturday, July 18The Friends of the Edson Fichter Nature Area invites you to a family bird walk at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at the nature area next to Indian Hills Elementary in south Pocatello. The walk lasts about an hour. Please leave your dogs at home, and meet at the amphitheater.

The Portneuf Valley Farmers Market will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday through October at Lookout Point in downtown Pocatello.

The Crafter’s Market takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Saturday inside Station Square, 200 S. Main St., in Historic Downtown Pocatello. Visitors can shop a rotating selection of local vendors offering jewelry, art, home décor, plants and more, with new makers featured each week.
