CHUBBUCK — What was once a Denny’s restaurant will soon be home to one of the most popular restaurant chains in the U.S.

A Raising Cane’s will be built where the vacant former Denny’s restaurant now stands at 4310 Yellowstone Ave. in Chubbuck, Summit Commercial Real Estate Group of Boise announced.

The former Denny’s building will soon be demolished to make way for the construction of Raising Cane’s on the nearly one-acre property near Interstate 86’s Chubbuck exit, Summit said.

“The team at Summit Commercial are representing Raising Cane’s for their southern and eastern Idaho roll-out and expansion, and are still actively seeking additional sites,” Summit stated via Facebook.

Chubbuck Mayor Kevin England said he’s looking forward to having a Raising Cane’s in his city.

He was not familiar with the restaurant chain at first, but after doing some research, he thinks Raising Cane’s will be a good fit for Chubbuck.

“We’re happy that they think this is an area worth investing in,” England said.

Raising Cane’s, based in Louisiana, is well known for its delicious chicken fingers. The restaurant chain has over 800 locations in the United States and in multiple Middle Eastern countries. The nearest Raising Cane’s location to East Idaho is currently Logan, Utah.
