POCATELLO — Can we talk … about kids, careers, retirement, money made, money lost, parent care, deaths, divorce, and the all-important “What meds are you taking now?” is the theme for the 40-year class reunion 1972 graduates of Pocatello High School.
Kicking off Friday, Aug. 3 a golf tournament will be held at Riverside Golf Course at 8 a.m. Contact Dan Mendenhall at 734-674-3605. Between 2 and 4:30 p.m., a pre-registration gathering will take place at the OutBack Driving Range and Miniature Golf on Pocatello Creek Road. Cost is $5 per game or bucket of balls.
The “Meet, Greet and Try to Recognize” social will be held in the Jasper Room at the Clarion Inn, 1399 Bench Road. Registration begins at 6 p.m. Bluegrass band, Portneuf Gap will begin playing at 8 p.m. Cost is $25 per person, $40 per couple.
Saturday, Aug. 4 will begin with a “Let’s Do Brunch” buffet from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m., with background music of the No. 1 Billboard hits from September 1969 through June 1972. Assembled by Jeff Hill, the 55 top hits will be available to purchase on CD for $5. If people provide their own USB, cost will be $3, with all proceeds being contributed to the class reunion fund. A slide show presentation of past class events will begin at 12:30 p.m. Cost is $15.
Saturday evening is the big “Senior All Night Party - The 40 Year Sequel”. Beginning with registration at 6 p.m., it will include a no-host social hour, followed by dinner and dancing featuring all the favorite music from the ‘70’s and ‘80s. Cost is $45 per person, $80 per couple.
All events except the golf tournament and pre-registration gathering will take place at the Clarion Inn.
