DOWNEY — Officials with the Westside Ranger District of the Caribou-Targhee National Forest are hosting an open house today at the Marsh Valley Senior Center at 21 S. Main St. in order to discuss the future of the Cherry Creek campground and trail system. It starts at 7 p.m.

    According to a news release, the Cherry Creek campground is in disrepair.

    In addition, sections of the trails are in need of reconstruction and/or relocation. 

    Staff will discuss possibilities for future management of the facilities and trails within the Cherry Creek drainage, north of Oxford Peak, at the open house.
