SUV crash

The SUV involved in an early Sunday morning crash in south Pocatello.

POCATELLO — A man was rushed to the hospital early Sunday morning following a one-vehicle crash in south Pocatello.

The 1 a.m. crash involving a Toyota SUV occurred at Bannock Highway and Gibson Jack Road.

The SUV’s adult male driver and lone occupant suffered serious injuries when the vehicle left the road and overturned, authorities said.

The man was transported via Pocatello Fire Department ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center for treatment following the crash.

His name and condition haven’t been released.

The SUV was totaled in the accident and Bannock Highway was temporarily shut down.

The crash remains under investigation by Pocatello police.
