SUGAR CITY — A 26-year-old Sugar City man was arrested Feb. 27 on charges of possessing sexually exploitative material following a nearly four-month investigation into child sexual abuse imagery.
Madison County detectives arrested Zachary Morris after obtaining an arrest warrant stemming from a residential search conducted Jan. 7 at his Sugar City home. The investigation was triggered by a cyber tip received Oct. 31, 2025, from the Idaho Attorney General's Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
The search warrant was executed with assistance from ICAC investigators representing the Rexburg Police Department, Fremont County Sheriff's Office, Chubbuck Police Department, Bonneville County Sheriff's Office, and Idaho Falls Police Department.
Morris was arraigned in Madison County Court, where bond was set at $500,000. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
