IDAHO FALLS — On Sunday, July 31, 2016 at 12:15 p.m., the Idaho Falls Fire Department was dispatched to 183 Wilson for an initial report of a vehicle fire.

Engine 2 and battalion 1 were dispatched and found an RV on fire that was located approximately 2ft from a vacant single wide trailer. The call was then upgraded to a first alarm assignment, and chief 4, engine 4, engine 1, ambulances 2, 4 and 1 were added to the call.

Upon arrival, the RV had heavy fire involvement and was a total loss. The fire had extended to the single wide trailer. Fire crews aggressively stopped further extension to the home. The RV was a total loss.

There were no injuries.

The RV was being worked on when the engine started on fire which is reported to be the cause. The estimated amount of damage was $5,500.
