Firefighters spent about two hours extinguishing a brush fire near McCammon on Friday.

The blaze in the Crystal Springs area was reported around 5:30 p.m. and the flames scorched about four acres before being contained.

Firefighters had the fire out by around 7:30 p.m.

The flames did not cause any injuries or evacuations and no structures were damaged or threatened, authorities said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Bannock County Sheriff’s Office.
