POCATELLO — Dropkick Murphys, Bad Religion, ZZ Top, Darius Rucker and Mudvayne will be treating area residents to a series of rock-fueled concerts when they visit the Portneuf Health Trust Amphitheatre over the coming months.

The pit opens up beginning at 7 p.m. on Aug. 1 with the Summer of Discontent Tour featuring the high-octane Celtic and politically infused punk rock of Dropkick Murphys and the melodic hardcore ballads of Bad Religion.

General admission tickets have already sold out for these two iconic punk bands and this rain or shine event is sure to draw a massive crowd. Tickets for lawn and amphitheatre seating are still available for purchase for a concert series that invites its audience to don their best black battle jackets and throw down for a night of moshing and mayhem.

The fun continues with blues-rock singer and virtuoso guitarist Joe Bonamassa at 8 p.m. on Aug. 6 followed by the Nashville-based country musings of Old Dominion on its How Good Is That World Tour at 7 p.m. on Aug. 8.

Area residents will then be treated to the blues and boogie infused hard rock of ZZ Top at 8 p.m. on Aug, 14 as they put on a show filled with glorious full-length beards and music that is unapologetic, irreverent and stuffed to the gills with machismo and masterful melodies.

Three-time Grammy-winning singer, songwriter, and musician Darius Rucker along with Canadian country music singer Jade Eagleson will delight audiences the following day at 8 p.m. on Aug. 15. Rucker, known for his involvement in the ‘80s band Hootie & the Blowfish, has had an enormously successful solo career and his talents will be on full display for residents of the Gate City and beyond.

Audiences will then have a chance to vibe to the funky reggae and rock beats of 311 with special guests Badflower and Sitting on Saturn for their 2025 Unity Tour beginning at 7 p.m. on Aug. 16.

Savants of everything doom and gloom will rejoice when they dig into the twisted world of Mudvayne as they bewitch the crowd with their nu-metal anthems, catchy riffs and horror movie inspired makeup and costumes. Audiences can start their Halloween season right with a moody and macabre Mudvayne performance starting at 7 p.m. on Oct. 3.

From moshable marquee talents, coteries of epic country kingpins, brassy bearded balladeers and menacing musical maestros, there is plenty to experience this year for music lovers from all walks of life.
