POCATELLO — Executive Director of the Pocatello Animal Shelter Mary Remer will be the guest speaker at a Political Soup luncheon to be held at Bannock County Democratic Headquarters today, Wednesday, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

    The Democratic offices are at 355 Yellowstone Ave., across the street from Mama Inez restaurant. Those who attend are asked to park in the back.

    Remer will be speaking about the current conditions at the shelter and the importance of passing the upcoming November bond issue.

    The bond issue will allow a new shelter to be built that will help the workers, animals, and overall community in take care of stray animals. More information about the bond is posted on the City of Pocatello website.
