POCATELLO — Pocatello police and several other law enforcement agencies executed a high-risk search warrant Thursday afternoon in the 1000 block of Samuel Street as part of an ongoing criminal investigation.

The operation began around 2 p.m. and involved the Pocatello Police Department, neighboring law enforcement agencies and the BADGES HIDTA Task Force, a regional drug task force.

Authorities said the operation was conducted safely and there is no known ongoing threat to the public, though the investigation remains active. Police are asking the public to avoid the area while investigators process the scene.

Additional information will be released as it becomes available, police said.
