CHUBBUCK — A T-shirt printing shop that has been a staple in the community for decades has moved from the Pine Ridge Mall to a new location where it will be better able to serve their customers.

Floreen Thyberg owns T-Shirts Plus with her husband, Stan. Their new location is at 4822 Yellowstone Ave. After moving everything over from the mall, they officially opened on June 18. So far, everyone loves the new spot.

“The windows are lovely,” Thyberg said. “We can look out and watch the cars and traffic and everyone that goes by.”

T-Shirts Plus was located inside the Pine Ridge Mall for 44 years before moving to this new location, making them one of the oldest shops to have had a space in the now mostly demolished mall.

“We were one of the first ones to build in there at the Pine Ridge Mall,” Thyberg said.

Despite all the time spent at the Pine Ridge Mall, everyone at T-Shirts Plus was happy for the chance to move. Thyberg said she, her husband and the rest of the staff were all in need of a change.

“We had a good attitude and our employees liked it and we love our community,” Thyberg said. “We decided we’re just going to go to chapter two and move on.”

Thyberg found this new location after only a couple of weeks of searching.

“Just driving by, we found it,” Thyberg said.

Everyone at T-Shirts Plus looks forward to continuing to provide its custom T-shirt printing services to the community in this new location.

“Let them come in and create their own shirts,” Thyberg said. “Whatever they want and just being a good service to the community.”

Thyberg said they have also gotten more attention from people passing by the new store than they did when they were at the mall. When they were in the mall, they were surrounded by other people selling their products.

“They see our sign now, and they got their curiosity up,” Thyberg said. “They want to come in and see us.”

Thyberg expressed gratitude for everyone who helped move T-Shirts Plus to this new location. It was a lot of work, but it went much smoother since so many people were working together.

“We had a lot of good help,” Thyberg said. “We had friends come in. It was a big move.”

They also had to add some things to the new building before they could open. It needed new lighting, air conditioning and a new furnace. There was a lot of work to do before they could make the space their own.

“This place was just a place,” Thyberg said.

T-Shirts Plus customers have responded well to the new location. Vicki Higgins, manager of the store, said it took some time for them to find the new location, but the local community has been supportive so far.

“We’ve had people that have just driven by and seen our sign and stopped in to see us,” Higgins said. “We’re getting new clientele as well.”
