Associates from Sparklight, a leading broadband communications provider, recently granted holiday wishes to several nonprofits. In conjunction with an organization-wide campaign, Sparklight made a 127-pound food donation to The Idaho Foodbank and delivered a sleigh full of toys, clothing and video game consoles to the local Angel Tree and Toys for Tots organizations.

The annual campaign raises donations for charitable organizations located in areas served by Sparklight and the Cable One family of brands (Fidelity Communications, Hargray, ValuNet and Cable America). The Idaho Foodbank is one of dozens of nonprofit organizations supported by Sparklight this year.

“The Idaho Foodbank would like to share a heartfelt thank you to Sparklight and the generous employees who work there. It is thanks to partnerships like these that we are able to provide our partner network with a wider variety of foods that neighbors visiting their pantries can utilize,” said Kia Shaw, The Idaho Foodbank Eastern Branch Manager. “The Idaho Foodbank continues to fight against hunger in the state, and we are only able to do that because of supporters like Sparklight fighting with us.”

The company’s annual campaign resulted in donations of more than 10,000 pounds of food to assist food banks in the areas it serves.

Cable One President and CEO Julie Laulis said the company is committed to helping alleviate hunger in the 24 states Cable One serves through its annual food drive.

“Local food banks are fulfilling the critical need of feeding at-risk community members who might otherwise go hungry due to the challenging economic environment,” Laulis said. “We are proud to support their mission through donations that will help provide immediate aid to individuals and families in need.”

Since 2018, Sparklight and the Cable One family of brands have donated more than 51 tons of food and more than $500,000 to address food insecurity.
