POCATELLO — The Pocatello Municipal Band will present the second concert of the 2023 season of Concert in the Park at 7 p.m. Sunday in the Guy Gate’s Memorial Band Shell at Ross Park. Come and join the band for a fun-filled evening of music to celebrate our great country’s Independence Day. To help celebrate the band’s 88th year, Simplot will sponsor the evening’s concert and they will provide ice cream to all in attendance. Thank you, Simplot, for being a generous and committed sponsor. The guest conductor for the concert will be selected by Simplot.

The concert will be as follows:

— “America First March” by J.P. Sousa.

— “America The Beautiful” arranged by John Cacavas.

— “Bugle Call Rag” by Pettis, Meyers, Schoebel.

— “You’re the Reason” arranged by Randy Earles.

— “Armed Forces Salute” arranged by Bob Lowden.

— “Liberty Bell March” by J.P. Sousa (guest conductor chosen by Simplot).

— “You’re A Grand Old Flag” by G.M. Cohan.

— “Captain America March” arranged by Michael Brown.

— “God Bless America” by Irving Berlin.

— “Sweet Land of Liberty” by Jame Sochinski.

— “This Land is Your Land” arranged by George Kenny (audience sing-along).

— “Stars and Stripes Forever” J.P. Sousa.

The concerts are sponsored by the city of Pocatello Parks and Recreation Department. They are under the direction of Mrs. Kerrie Tolman and Thomas Kloss. The concerts are free to the public.
