IDAHO FALLS — As part of Mountain America’s goal donation program with the Idaho Spud Kings, Mountain America has partnered with Operation Warm to gift over 400 coats to elementary school students. The coats will be given away from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at A.H. Bush Elementary School, 380 W. Anderson St. in Idaho Falls.

Mountain America Credit Union has a commitment to serving the communities within its six-state footprint. For the second year, Mountain America committed to making a donation to Operation Warm for every goal scored by the Idaho Falls Spud Kings. For the 2022-2023 season, Mountain America donated $15,000 to Operation Warm to provide brand-new coats to kids throughout Idaho.

Mountain America and Operation Warm are using the proceeds to donate coats to students at A.H. Bush Elementary in Idaho Falls. Over 400 students will be fitted for coats in their choice of color by Mountain America Credit Union volunteers.

In Idaho Falls, 16.8% of individuals under age 18 live below the poverty line. Operation Warm provides confidence, warmth and hope to children in need through the gift of brand-new winter coats. A new coat has a multiplier effect: When children can safely get to school on cold days, they arrive eager and ready to learn.
