POCATELLO — Jennifer Miles has officially announced her candidacy for the Idaho state House of Representatives, District 29, Seat B. A proud Idahoan, Miles was born and raised in Soda Springs, where she learned the importance of family, community and hard work. "I started working at age 12 and haven't stopped," she said. "Southeastern Idaho shaped who I am, and I'm grateful to be part of this community."
Miles is a graduate of Idaho State University, earning two Bachelor of Arts degrees in political science (2005) and social work (2010). She later completed a Master of Social Work degree from Boise State University in 2012. Now a resident of Pocatello, she owns two small businesses and is passionate about helping others recognize their strengths, expand their skills and pursue personal growth.
Throughout her career in public service, Miles has been guided by a belief that every person deserves to be heard. She expressed concern about recent rapid policy changes that she believes could negatively impact local families, small businesses, health care access and Idaho's long‑term economic stability. Jennifer will focus on practical, community‑driven solutions designed to support property taxes, infrastructure, public safety and ordinary community challenges.
"I look forward to finding solutions that are logical and beneficial to this district," Miles said. "My goal is to ensure our community continues to move forward in a way that strengthens our future."
