John Rush headlines the Concert on the Idaho State University Quad this Thursday at 6 p.m. Rush takes listeners on a musical journey, singing and playing guitar, bass, harmonica, piano, saxophone, banjo, keyboard and percussion in a unique one-man show. Rush and his singer/songwriter style wows audiences with his guitar work, voice and lyrics, winning him Campus Entertainer of the Year and Campus Awards Musician of the Year. All are welcome to attend.

British Film Awards nominee “The Lost King” plays this Friday at 5 and 7:30 p.m. in the Bengal Theater at ISU’s Pond Student Union. Based on the incredible true story, an ambitious writer and amateur historian is guided by instinct and spectral visions and defies the academic establishment to unearth King Richard III’s long-missing remains in a Leicester car park. “Warmly funny and historically curious,” writes Empire Magazine, while NYC Movie Guru calls it, “Witty, whimsical and genuinely heartfelt. ... Looking ahead to next week, Brett Wiscons is the performer on June 29 at 6 p.m. on the ISU Quad. Influenced by the music of The Beatles, Pearl Jam, The Eagles, Jackson Browne, and Hootie & the Blowfish, Wiscons puts a unique spin on his music, making his own sound.

Then it’s a free movie night on June 30, with Oscar-nominated musical “Cyrano” showing at 5 and 7:30 p.m. in the Bengal Theater, hosted in cooperation with the ISU Summer Music Camp. Peter Dinklage (“Game of Thrones”) and Haley Bennet star, as Cyrano de Bergerac dazzles everyone with his ferocious wordplay and brilliant swordplay. However, he’s convinced his appearance renders him unworthy of the affections of the luminous Roxanne, a devoted friend who’s in love with someone else. Admission is free for everyone.
