• The Portneuf Valley Farmers Market will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Old Town Pavilion, 420 N. Main St. in Pocatello.

• The Pocatello Model Railroad and Historical Society will hold an open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday in the UPRR brick building 59 south of the UPRR depot and just north of the Benton overpass. Everyone is welcome, and admission is free.

• Walk for Freedom, an anti-human trafficking awareness walk, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pocatello City Hall. Wear warm, all-black attire.

• The Friends of the Blackfoot Public Library will host their used book sale from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at 157 N. Broadway St. There will be a large number of travel and science-fiction books and DVDs donated by the community and the library.

• Portneuf District Library, 5210 Stuart Ave. in Chubbuck, will host a Special Needs Trunk or Treat from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday. This event is for children and adults with special needs and their families. It is also a great event for those with severe food allergies that cannot participate in a traditional trick-or-treat. There will be lots of vendors, activities and loot to take home. The event is free, but a ticket is required. Tickets are available beginning at the library, school, or therapy agency.

• There will be a dinner and silent auction for Tim Park, a community member with pancreatic cancer, from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Elks Lodge, 410 S Main St. in Pocatello. Dinner, a potato bar with toppings, starts at 6 p.m. Tickets for dinner are $10 a person at the door or can be purchased at the Odyssey Bar, 250 E. Center St. in Pocatello. Silent auction items will be awarded at 7 p.m.

• The Union Taproom, inside the Historic Yellowstone Hotel, will be hosting a benefit for the employees of The 5 Mile Inn on Saturday. From 4 p.m. to close, there will be live music, a silent auction and taco bar. Tickets are $15 in advance and available on Eventbrite or $20 at the door. All admission and silent auction proceeds will benefit the employees of The 5 Mile Inn.
