POCATELLO — There will be a 5k with the goal of bringing awareness to teen mental health and the resources available in our area. It is being hosted by local high school students with the Pocatello Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council.

This event is free and open to the public. The race starts at 8:30 a.m. at Lower Ross Park. Snacks and a free T-shirt will be given out to all runners while supplies last.

The Pocatello Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council has been in existence since 1992, and members throughout the years have participated in and planned a variety of activities, including this 5K.
