POCATELLO — The Portneuf River Back Country Horsemen Chapter will be hosting its annual dinner and auction on Feb. 22 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Bannock County Event Center, Building B, 10588 Fairgrounds Road in Pocatello.

This year, the chapter will provide the entire dinner. You are still welcome to bring a favorite dish to share, if convenient. Music will be provided by the talented Roy McKee. This is an opportunity for members to renew their 2025 membership or join the organization. The last few 2025 Backcountry Horsemen of Idaho calendars will be available for sale at the dinner. This is always a fun mid-winter gathering for local horse enthusiasts.

A silent auction will be held to benefit the chapter’s work in promoting trail riding, performing trail maintenance/clearing, leading monthly trail rides and providing horsemanship education. Popular auction items range from Western decor, artwork, handmade crafts, quilts, jewelry, horse tack in good condition and services like guided raft trips, cabin stays, a gourmet meal or a tasty dessert.
