Looking for a job? The Community Council of Idaho is hosting a Blackfoot Hiring event at 420 W. Bridge St. from 11 a.m. — 2 p.m. Get spruced up, bring your resume and find out what is work is available.

DJ Trivia time at Tumbleweed Saloon from 7-9 p.m., located at 40 W. Pacific St. This is the “largest live host trivia in the U.S.” presented by DJ Trivia Idaho.

Music in the Park from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Courthouse Park, featuring Acoustic Cowhands-Vince Crofts this week.

Thursday

Movie in the Park in Shelley will feature Zootopia 2, at dusk in the city park. Bring something soft to sit on and delightful to munch on.

Snake River Homestead Pioneer Day Celebration is from 4-8 p.m. at the Snake River Homestead located at 587 E. 1250 N. in Shelley. Tour historic buildings, watch superb horsemanship, try pioneer games and activities, and watch living history demonstrations — all for free! There will also be local merchants and food vendors.

13 Going on 30 Birthday Bash for Julie + Customer Appreciation Night = “Thirty, Flirty & Thriving” girl energy for all ages. Time to pamper yourself, shop sales and discover what their hourly goodie bag give aways contain. The fun is from 5-8 p.m. at Tilden Co., located at 100 W. Bridge St. in Blackfoot. Early 2000s dress up is encouraged. In case you have forgotten, they suggest thinking of pink, sparkles, butterflies, lip gloss, denim….

Comedy Night at Cheers and Beers — featuring Nate Ford, starts at 8:30 p.m. at 50 N. Spruce, on the back patio. Tickets are $15 online or $25 at the door.

Saturday

Shelley City Park is the place for the Wheels for Compassion Car Show, a day of family fun provided by The Hospice & Palliative Care of Eastern Idaho. From 10 a.m.-4 p.m. there are activities, vendors, food and of course the car show — all wheels are welcome! There are even specially made, unique trophies that are a must see — created by students from recycled, donated car parts.

It’s a Men’s Breakfast week at the Jason Lee Memorial United Methodist Church from 9-10 a.m. All men are welcome to come for free breakfast and great conversations.

Blackfoot Farmers’ Market is from 9-1 p.m. at Jensen Grove Center Island at 793 E. Airport Rd. Fresh eggs, baked goods, handmade crafts and a chance to support local farms and craftsmen every week from Mother’s Day to Halloween.

Blackfoot Christian Fellowship Church’s XII Stones program offers free delivered meals to those who needs a meal. Call 208-785-3247 to make arrangements.

Tuesday

Bingo and Lunch is at the Shelley Senior Center from noon — 3 p.m. today. The fundraiser costs $15 for 3 cards and lunch! They are located at 193 W. Pine St.
