WRESTLING

    •Registration for the Ram Wrestling Club is Jan. 30 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Highland High School (enter through the front entrance). The fee is $45 and includes a T-shirt and practices that are every Tuesday and Thursday beginning Feb. 13 and extends through March 31. Bring current insurance information to registration. BASKETBALL

    • The Everett Jim men’s and women’s open basketball tournament will be held Feb. 6-8 at Timbee Hall in Fort Hall. The entre fee is $250 per team and the deadline to enter is Jan. 31. There wil be awards for teams that finish in first through third place, those named to the five-person all-tourney team and one MVP.     • Southeast Idaho Hoops Academy is now accepting registrations for winter basketball skills training classes. Athletes in the first through 12th grade are invited to attend. Classes are offered in four-week sessions that run Jan. 6- 31, Feb. 3-28 and March 3-April 3. Take Hoops Intensity, Shooting and Ball Handling, Post and Guard Moves or Basketball SCRAP.     • Camp Fire USA is now registering participants for spring Tee-Ball. It is for kids ages 3 through second grade. The cost is $60, and it includes team shirt, pictures and trophy.     • H & R Inline Hockey will begin a new adult season beginning the first part of January for beginners through advanced players. The cost is $80 per season. SWIMMING

    • Swim team tryouts have started at the Tiger Aquatic Club (TAC) in Pocatello. There are various teams available for all ages and levels. Please call head coach Dustin Perry for more details at 232-4366.

FOOTBALL

    • The All State Football Game is looking for the top current seventh grade football players to represent team Idaho. This team will take on the Treasure Valley all stars in the eighth Annual All State Game. The game will be broadcast on Idahosports.com.     • Full contact alumni football games are being set up for those athletes who played at Pocatello, Highland, Marsh Valley, Century and North Gem high schools. The games will be full contact using high school rules. The organizers will provide all equipment. The games will be held in October with locations and times to be announced. SOFTBALL

    • The Sandlot Reign 14U Elite travel softball team is looking for one player. This player would start immediately and play fall ball league and tournaments. They would continue playing during summer 2014. This players must be eligible per ASA age requirements to partcipate in 14U next summer. DANCING AND GYMNASTICS

    • Registration for the City of Pocatello Community Recreation Center’s fall dance and gymnastic classes is under way. The dance and gymnastics schedules and online registration are available by visiting the Parks and Recreation Department page at www.pocatello.us. Registration can also be done at the community Recreation Center on 144 Wilson Avenue. Classes begin in September and end with recitals in January. Class tuition is $20 per month. BOXING

    • The Gate City Boxing Club on 323 N. Main is now accepting applications for the 2012-2013 boxing season. Any person, male or female, ages eight through 34 are eligible to compete. The USA Boxing membership fee is $78.00 per year and Gate City Boxing has a $5.00 per month gym fee. For more information you may call Rob Chavez at 241-9021.
