Pocatello 2, Rigby 0

    The Pocatello girls beat the Rigby Trojans 2-0 for the Indians’ third consecutive win.

    Alicia Fisher and Kaitlyn Lane both scored in the first half for Pocatello.

    The Indians host Century Thursday at 3 p.m. in their season finale.

Boys Soccer

Highland 7, Twin Falls 1

    The Highland boys soccer team closed out the regular season with a 7-1 victory over Twin Falls Tuesday.

    “Our defense stepped it up again for us,” Highland head coach Mark Muzo said. “We are still riding the emotion of the victory over Skyline a little bit on defense and it showed tonight.”

    Highland will go into the 5A Fifth/Sixth District tournament as the No. 3 seed. The district tournament begins Tuesday in Idaho Falls.

Volleyball

Highland 3, Skyline 1

    After a slow start the Highland volleyball team rallied to down Skyline 15-25, 25-15, 25-23, 25-15 Tuesday at Highland High School.

    Ashlyn VanEvery led the Rams with 34 assists, eight digs and three blocks.

    Sequioa Dance aded 10 kills and 14 digs and Ashley Orr tallied 23 digs.

    “We started slow but battled back,” Highland head coach Morgan Rose said. “It shows the mental toughness we have heading into the end of the season.”

    Highland hosts Madison Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
