Century continued its impressive season with a dominant 10-2 victory over Shelley Friday at home.

The Diamondbacks remained unbeaten with the boys improving to 7-0 and the girls to 6-0-1.

In boys singles, Tiden Lynn delivered a flawless 6-0, 6-0 performance against Eli Heath, while Cole Reichert battled through a three-set thriller to defeat Trey Layton, and James Dunker secured a convincing win over Cole Taylor.

The girls singles matches saw Macie Sutton overcome a second-set setback to claim a hard-fought victory against Taryn Peterson, and Elsie Andersen cruised past Kinder Shurtliff.

Century’s doubles teams were equally formidable, with all four duos securing victories, including the boys pairs of Shep Butler/Dalton Poulson and Jude Davids/Pierro Vasquez, along with the girls tandems of Keeley McGeehan/Bel Miller and Anna Stein/ Lilly Orgill each winning in straight sets.

In mixed doubles, the pairing of Nate Romriell and Kate Spicer capped it off with a perfect 6-0, 6-0 triumph over the Hudman siblings.

CENTURY 8, SUGAR-SALEM 4

Girls singles saw Macie Sutton deliver a commanding 6-0, 6-0 sweep of Serena Flaig, and Elsie Andersen cruising past Maycie Taylor 6-1, 6-0.

Century’s doubles teams contributed crucial points , as Shep Butler and Liam McGee controlled their boys doubles match 6-1, 6-2, while Keeley McGeehan and Bel Miller dominated in girls doubles with a 6-0, 6-2 victory.

The mixed doubles pairing of Nate Romriell and Kate Spicer completed Century’s strong performance with a decisive 6-1, 6-0 win over McKay Flaig and Isabelle Tuttle.

Century dominated the boys’ singles with Tiden Lynn delivering a commanding 6-0, 6-1 victory at the No. 1 spot.

Brothers Daniel and Liam McGee claimed the No. 1 boys doubles match. In mixed doubles, Century’s Kate Spicer and Nate Romriell secured a crucial tiebreaker victory.

The most competitive contest came in the No. 2 girls’ doubles, where Anna Stein and Riley Erickson overcame a first-set tiebreak loss to rally for a 6-7, 6-2, 10-5 victory. Century’s mixed doubles pairs completed the sweep with Nate Romriell and Kate Spicer, along with Dalton Poulson and Lilly Orgill, each posting perfect 6-0, 6-0 wins.

CENTURY 8, IDAHO FALLS 4

Century had little trouble in a road win over Idaho Falls on March 14.

In boys singles, Shep Butler cruised against Scott Christofferson with a 6-1, 6-3 victory, while Cole Reichert handled Marshall Sloan with a commanding 6-4, 6-1 performance.

Girls singles featured Elsie Andersen’s 6-1, 6-4 win over Olivia Peterson, and Macie Sutton’s gritty three-set thriller against Sami Manwaring that ended 6-2, 4-6, 10-8.

The McGee brothers cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 victory in boys doubles, while both girls doubles pairs battled through tight matches to secure identical 6-4, 7-5 wins. The mixed doubles duo of Nate Romriell and Kate Spicer rounded it out with a convincing 6-0, 6-1 triumph over Bailey Messer and Isaac Frandsen.

CENTURY 7, RIGBY 5

The Diamondbacks edged the 6A Trojans in their season opener at home on March 12.

In singles play, Century’s Nate Romriell battled to a hard-fought 7-6, 6-3 win at No. 1 boys, while Kate Spicer and Elsie Andersen delivered commanding performances in the top-2 girls’ positions.

Century’s doubles teams proved decisive in securing the overall win, with the McGee brothers posting a perfect 6-0, 6-0 score in No. 1 boys doubles, and Keeley McGeehan and Bel Miller cruising to a convincing 6-0, 6-1 victory in No. 1 girls doubles.

The mixed doubles matches were split, with Century’s Macie Sutton and Shep Butler winning at No. 1.

SNAKE RIVER BOYS PICK UP ANOTHER WIN

The Snake River High School golf team continued its impressive start to the season with a commanding victory at the inaugural Snake River Canyon Invitational held at Clear Lakes Country Club in Buhl on March 25th.

The Panthers captured the team title with a solid score of 325, led by the dynamic duo of Boden Burke and Grady Mayfield, who each fired rounds of 79 to share second place in the individual standings.

In the girls’ competition, Bear Lake maintained its winning ways by securing the team championship with a score of 381. The Bears were paced by standout Addison Slivinski, who claimed individual medalist honors with an 83, while her teammate Brynlee Birch followed closely behind in second place after carding a 90.

SNAKE RIVER BOYS OPEN SEASON WITH WIN

The Snake River Panthers showcased their dominance in the season-opening golf tournament at Hazard Creek in Aberdeen, with the boys’ team claiming victory after posting an impressive score of 163 in the 9-hole match.

Sophomore standout Boeden Burke led the Panthers with a stellar performance, shooting a 4-over 39 to pace his team to the win.

On the girls’ side, the Bear Lake Bears emerged triumphant with a team score of 193, anchored by Addison Slivinski’s strong individual showing. Slivinski topped the leaderboard after carding a 12-over 47, helping the Bears secure their first tournament win of the season.
