BOISE — Hundreds of Athletic Club Boise supporters gathered at the Egyptian Theatre on Wednesday night to get an exclusive look at what their hometown team will wear on the soccer field in spring 2026.
The inaugural home kit pays homage to the crest of Athletic Club Boise and is centered around the peregrine falcon, Idaho’s state raptor and inspiration behind certain aspects of the design of the crest.
The base color of the kit — an often-used term for soccer jersey — is black, or “Raptor Shadow” as the club calls it, with green — Basque Pride Green — on the underside of each sleeve and line around the neck. The club will release an away and third kit at a later date. The kits are manufactured by Danish brand Hummel.
Jennie Telleria was one of the lead kit designers and drew inspiration from elements of the crest.
“Because this is our inaugural year, we knew that we wanted everything to be grounded in the crest,” Telleria said. “All of the designs, from our home kit, away kit, goalkeeper kit, third kit, they’re going to be rooted in narratives that are pulled from the crest. Our home kit is rooted in the falcon. All the design elements are reinforcing things that were inspired by the peregrine falcon.”
One of the unique aspects of the kit is the silhouette of the falcon logo all around the kit, which can be seen when shown under light. On the bottom right of the kit, the state of Idaho is placed with a star garnet pinned in the Treasure Valley. On the back of the kit at the base of the neck is Boise’s logo in purple, one of the club’s secondary colors.
The inaugural Athletic Club Boise home kit was unveiled by the club Wednesday night.
Saint Alphonsus, Athletic Club Boise’s official sports medicine provider, is the sponsor on the front of the shirt, with the Ford logo on the right sleeve, the club’s official auto partner.
A video was played for fans in attendance — who all received a jersey by purchasing tickets to the event — before the kits were modeled on stage by members of the club’s official supporter group, the River Guard. The group is an independent fan club that was invited to Wednesday’s event to showcase the new kit.
The River Guard will be a constant presence at home games for supporters to take their fandom to the next level. As is customary across the game of soccer worldwide, the fan group will lead chants, songs and help provide a strong atmosphere at Expo Idaho.
Excitement has continued to build for the club as longtime Boise residents finally have a professional soccer team in town to root for, which now has an official kit to sport.
“I’ve lived here most of my life and I never thought I would get to see this here,” River Guard co-president Ryan Pritchett said. “The youth level, the college level is about as high as we would ever see. If you’re a soccer fan and you want to see soccer, you go to Seattle, you have to go to Portland, you have to go to RSL (Real Salt Lake) to see it. Now, the entire valley is going to find out what professional football looks like, and there’s nothing better.”
For those interested in joining the River Guard supporters group, fans can visit theriverguard.com to purchase a membership or donate to the group, which goes back into supporting Athletic Club Boise.
“It’s blood, sweat and tears,” Pritchett said. “We’re all volunteers, no one is paying us to do this. Our job is to make sure the men on the field, and the women when we get to that point, know that there is a group behind them, pushing them. We want to score, we want to win and that’s all that matters.”
