Idaho Falls Police arrested 21-year-old Amber Laree Morton and 22-year-old Kyli Kimberly K. Brown for burglary and possession of a stolen vehicle after they were caught shoplifting.

Brown was also arrested for aggravated assault and two Bonneville County warrants.

According to reports, police responded to the Family Dollar, located at 1875 S. Holmes Ave., in reference to a shoplifter on Tuesday afternoon. The manager told police that Brown and Morton loaded their purses and handbags with $474 worth of merchandise.

The manager stopped the two as they attempted to leave and they dumped all of the merchandise.

The manager called police. Brown and Morton pushed the manager out of their way as the left the store. The manager followed them out of the store telling them to stop.

Morton and Brown got into a gold Cadillac and drove off almost hitting the manager.

Police later located Morton at an apartment in the 2700 block of St. Clair and Brown at an apartment in the 500 block of Hansen.

The gold Cadillac they were driving was determined to be a stolen vehicle.
