A St. Anthony man was listed in critical condition on Monday following a car crash on Sunday where the vehicle came to rest partially inside of Birch Creek in Clark County, according to Idaho State Police officials.

Troopers are asking that anyone who witnessed the crash involving driver Jon Taylor contact them by dialing 208-525-7377.

The 55-year-old man was traveling in the northbound lane of traffic along State Highway 28 around 12:20 p.m. near Birch Creek Ridge when he drove off of the road, overcorrected and crashed into the creek.

ISP officials also indicated that Taylor was ejected from the vehicle. He was transported by air ambulance to the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

The troopers were assisted by members of the Clark County EMS team.
