MALAD — Oneida County Sheriff Jeff Semrad said a search warrant served on a home earlier this fall that resulted in seven arrests was especially satisfying because they believe drugs were being sold out of the home to minors.

    “That’s how we were able to get the search warrant,” Semrad said. “We had information that minors were going there and getting drugs.”

    Found in the home was more than three ounces of marijuana as well as some methamphetamines and some then unidentified pills.

    Among the seven people arrested during the search were two juveniles who were charged with frequenting a place where drugs were being sold or used.

    The others charged based on evidence gathered during the serving of the search warrant include Scott Wise, Tyson Baker, Gage Lacroce, Corey Riding, and Daniel Creager.

    Wise and Baker were both charged with possession of a controlled substance and frequently a place were drugs are used and sold, both misdemeanors. Baker also had an outstanding warrant in Oneida County.

    Lacroce was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

    Riding was charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and felony possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.

    Creager was charged with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and felony possession of a controlled substance.

    Semrad said the search warrant was served by the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the Bear River Drug Task Force partner agencies, the Bannock County Sheriff’s Office, the Blackfoot Police Department and the Bingham County Sheriff’s Office.
