POCATELLO — The annual meeting for the Portneuf Greenway Foundation will be held this Wednesday, Nov. 14 at the Hampton Inn and Suites . There will be a short board meeting at 5:30 and the Annual Meeting begins at 6 p.m.
Your Portneuf Greenway grew by 1.5 miles this year. The Beverly Trail on the south end of the system was paved, as well as the Simplot Swanson Reach on the North end of the system. Find out where the Greenway is going next at the annual meeting. There are new and exciting places for commuting trails as well as recreational opportunities.
Trails for biking and walking have been proven to increase economic development in the communities where they exist. Ten percent of Idaho tourists hike or bike which is twice the national average. Completing our system will lead to more tourism dollars coming into Pocatello as well as adding more assets to sell to businesses wishing to relocate.
Members will be voting on the Board of Director candidates as well as revised bylaws. Refreshments will be served and everyone is welcome.

Pocatello has tourist? Oh, you must mean those that shop here from Inkom. Well then Winco will be a major tourist stop for us.
Tourists will come to Pocatello just to ride their bikes or walk on the greenway so they can spend their money here? Really?
Welcome to the discussion.
