POCATELLO — A man had to be extricated from his wrecked pickup truck after crashing into a traffic light pole near City Hall Saturday afternoon.

The man suffered what appeared to be serious injuries in the crash, which occurred around 2:45 p.m. at Oak Street and Yellowstone Avenue.

Pocatello firefighters responded to the crash and extricated the man from the pickup. He was then transported via ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center for treatment.

As of Saturday night, authorities had not released the man’s name or provided an update on his condition.
