A 72-year-old Preston man died Friday after the truck he was driving collided with a farm tractor pulling a trailer loaded with hay near Terreton, which is northwest of Idaho Falls.
Idaho State Police responded to the two-vehicle accident on state Highway 33 at approximately 11:37 a.m., according to a state police news release.
Dennis Clark of Preston was traveling west in a 2007 Dodge pickup pulling a horse trailer when he collided with a farm tractor, pulling a trailer loaded with hay, driven by Larry Garner, 26, of Terreton.
Clark died at the scene. His passenger, Bracken Atkinson, 26, of Preston, was taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center by air ambulance.
There were no horses in the horse trailer.
It’s unknown if seat belts were used in Clark’s vehicle. Garner was not wearing a seat belt.
