Idaho State Police are investigating a two-vehicle fatality crash that occurred on Saturday at approximately 2:12 p.m. on Interstate 84 near milepost 110 southeast of Mountain Home.

A white Ram dually pickup towing a travel trailer, driven by a 55-year-old male from Canton, Texas, was driving eastbound on Interstate 84. A tan 1995 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 29-year-old male from Garden City, Idaho, was driving westbound on Interstate 84.

The driver of the Ram departed from his lane into oncoming traffic which resulted in a head on collision. Both vehicles became fully engulfed from the collision.

The driver of the Chevrolet succumbed to his injuries on scene. The driver of the Ram was transported via air ambulance to a local hospital.

All lanes were blocked for approximately 3 hours.

The Idaho State Police were assisted by the Elmore County Sheriff’s Office.

This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
