GRACE — Bryan Jensen, a teacher in Soda Springs, is set to become the new principal for Grace High School at the start of the next school year.

Jensen said he and his wife both work in education. He has worked in education for 28 years while she has worked for 11 years. He has worked in both Grace and Soda Springs in the past.

"The first ten years of my career were spent as a science and math teacher at Grace High School," he said.

Jensen said after working in Grace High School for ten years, he became an administrator in the Soda Springs School District for a few years before becoming a teacher again.

"The 18 years in Soda Springs has resulted in many great experiences and friends," he said. "My coworkers and the students I have had the pleasure to teach have made lasting impressions in my mind and on my heart."

Jensen said he looks forward to working at Grace High School again. He said the school has great staff and students and he looks forward to working with them.

"I am excited to reintegrate myself into a great school and to use the experiences gained to make it just a little better," he said. 

Jensen said his favorite part about working in education is the opportunity he has to make the world a better place for his students.

"Every time we can improve what we are doing in education, the students and society as a whole are the beneficiaries," he said. "Being in education is an amazing way to make the world around us a little bit better."

Jensen expressed gratitude for everyone who showed him support for his new position.

"I appreciate the many expressions of congratulations and excitement for my returning to where I began my career," he said. "I hope to earn the faith that has been put in me at this time."
