POCATELLO — William Price pleaded guilty Monday to one count of lewd conduct with a minor under 16 years.

As part of a plea agreement, prosecutors dismissed the other six counts against the defendant.

Price, 20, was charged with seven counts of lewd conduct with a minor under 16 years in February after an investigation by Bannock County Sheriff’s detectives, who alleged the man had inappropriate contact with a girl under 16 years, telling her that he was just 16 years old.

During Monday’s hearing in front of Sixth District Judge David Nye, Price admitted to having contact with the girl, just 14 years at the time, when he was 18 years old.

Price’s sentencing is set for Oct. 22. He faces up to life in prison and up to a $50,000 fine.
