A jet skier died Sunday evening as a result of an accident on Gem Lake, according to the Bonneville County Sheriff's Department.
   Authorities identified the deceased as Kelly Clay, 59. It's believed Clay is from the Idaho Falls area.
   Emergency personnel using SONAR equipment recovered Clay's body around 8:45 p.m. Sunday from the lake located in Bonneville County between Shelley and Idaho Falls.
   The accident occurred around 6 p.m. when Clay and a female passenger were for some reason ejected from the jet ski they were riding in Gem Lake's marina, the Bonneville County Sheriff's Department reported.
   A nearby boat picked up the female passenger who was wearing a life jacket. She was not injured. Clay was reportedly not wearing a personal floatation device and slipped under the water before he could reach his jet ski.
   The Bonneville County Sheriff's Department and its dive team, Bonneville County Search and Rescue and the Bingham County Sheriff's Department all responded to the incident.
   The Bonneville County Sheriff's Department said the accident remains under investigation.
