POCATELLO — The Idaho State University Alumni Chamber Choir, conducted by Professor Emeritus Scott Anderson, will perform at 7:30 p.m. June 13 at the Jensen Grand Concert Hall in the Stephens Performing Arts Center.

Tickets are $13 for adults, $10 for ISU faculty and staff and $5 for pre-college students. ISU students with a valid Bengal ID are admitted free. Children under 6 are not admitted to ISU Music Department concerts.

The program will include “Regina caeli laetare,” a double-choir setting by Spanish Renaissance composer Tomás Luis de Victoria; “Jubilate Deo,” a 2025 rhythmic composition by South African composer Motshwane Pege; “Lux aeterna,” an eight-part work by Swiss composer Ivo Antognini; “Zigeunerlieder,” Op. 103, by Johannes Brahms; “A Jubilant Song,” American composer Norman Dello Joio’s setting of a Walt Whitman text; and “We Shall Walk Through the Valley in Peace,” arranged by Moses Hogan.

Jaden Klein, an ISU graduate with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance, will serve as pianist for the choir and will be featured in the Brahms and Dello Joio pieces. A student of ISU Professor Kori Bond, Klein will attend the University of Colorado Boulder in the fall to pursue a Master of Music in Piano Performance.

The ISU Alumni Chamber Choir is composed of 26 singers, many of whom sang in the ISU Chamber Choir as undergraduates under Anderson’s direction. Members work across a range of professions, including education, health care, law, business and private music instruction. Thirteen are choral music educators leading elementary, middle and high school programs.

The concert is sponsored by the ISU Music Department. Tickets are available at idahostate.evenue.net/event/MU25/0613M.
