City Club of Idaho Falls will open its fall season Thursday with a Candidate Conversation featuring Lori Hickman, Democratic candidate for Idaho attorney general.

The program will take place from 5-6:30 p.m. in the ISU Student Union Multipurpose Room.

Hickman will discuss her background, priorities and vision for the office of Idaho attorney general. The program will also include an opportunity for audience questions.

City Club has traditionally held its programs during the lunch hour. Beginning this fall, the organization is experimenting with an early evening format in an effort to make its programs more accessible to community members who are unable to attend during the workday.

The organization invited Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador to participate in a town hall-style forum with Hickman, but Labrador declined the invitation. The September program will therefore feature Hickman in conversation with the community.

The evening program will include an appetizer and dessert bar, along with coffee, lemonade and water.

Admission is $25 for City Club members and $35 for non-members, which includes the program and refreshments. Gallery seating is available to non-members for $5 and includes the program only; food and beverages are not included.

City Club of Idaho Falls is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting informed and civil dialogue on issues that affect the community. The organization has hosted community forums for more than 15 years, providing opportunities for residents to hear from speakers and engage in thoughtful discussion on public affairs.
