ARIMO — Police confirmed the identities cause of death of an Arimo couple found deceased in their basement apartment on Portneuf Avenue on Monday.

Bannock County Sheriff Lorin Nielsen said Tuesday that it was 29-year-old Lisa England, a long-time Arimo resident, and her husband, Juan Cantal’ Cio-Y Enoc, 49, originally from Peru.

Residents in Arimo said the couple married about a year ago, but had a relationship described historically as on-again-off-again.

Nielsen also confirmed both Juan and Lisa died from gunshot wounds. Attempts to reach Juan’s family in Peru kept Nielsen from releasing the names prior to Tuesday afternoon.
