BLACKFOOT — A Fort Hall man remains in jail on a $45,000 bond, after a district judge denied his request to reduce the bond on Monday.
Jeremy Robert Andrus is awaiting an October trial for charges of attempted second-degree kidnapping, aggravated assault and fleeing from an officer. He asked the judge to reduce his jail bond on Monday, but Judge Darren B. Simpson denied the request, according to court records.
Andrus is charged with aggravated assault for allegedly threatening his ex-father-in-law with a gun in May, and attempted second-degree kidnapping for trying to force his ex-wife to get into his car, according to court reports. Andrus also allegedly led police on a car chase following those incidents.
