The 15th annual Idaho State Journal Business Awards committee announced that it is now accepting nominations for the 2014 awards program. Sponsored by the Idaho State Journal, Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance, Greater Pocatello Chamber of Commerce and the Blackfoot Chamber of Commerce, the awards will be presented on Oct. 22nd.

There are eleven Business Person of the Year categories, recognizing the outstanding efforts of businesspeople in southeast Idaho. The categories include  Retail,  Professional,  Non-Profit,  Service, Public Service/Government, Volunteer of the Year,  Industry/Technology, Education (K-12),  Education (University), Extraordinary under 40 and a Hall of Fame Award. 

Nomination forms may be picked up in Pocatello at the Idaho State Journal, 305 S. Arthur Avenue, the Greater Pocatello Chamber of Commerce, 324 S. Main St. and Blackfoot Chamber of Commerce, 130 NW Main, Blackfoot. On-line nominations may be made via the following web sites: www.idahostatejournal.com, www.pocatelloidaho.com, and www.blackfootchamber.org.

Nominations can be emailed to tdurrant@journalnet.com.

Nominations must be received at the Idaho State Journal office no later than Sept. 17.

A selection committee, made up of representatives from the Idaho State Journal, both Pocatello and Blackfoot Chambers and the Farm Bureau, will review the nominations and select winners. Winners will be acknowledged at an awards banquet on Oct. 22.
