East Idaho is forecast to experience everything from snow to record high temps Thursday through Tuesday.

The National Weather Service issued a weather briefing on Wednesday that detailed the wide variety of weather to come as Memorial Day approaches.

Thursday's forecast includes near record to record high temps in the 80s throughout East Idaho, with winds of up to 55 mph and the possibility of severe thunderstorms Thursday afternoon and evening, the weather service said.

This will be followed by below normal temperatures Saturday through Monday in East Idaho, consisting of daytime highs in the 50s and 60s and morning lows in the 30s and 40s.

Rain is in the forecast for East Idaho Friday through Tuesday with up to an inch possible. Mountain snow is in the forecast Saturday through Tuesday with 1 to 3 inches or more possible over that span in East Idaho's highlands.

There's a chance thunderstorms could occur Friday through Tuesday across the region as well.
