This month's Humanities Cafe is Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Yellowstone Restaurant's Bison Room, located at 230 W. Bonneville in Pocatello. Artificial intelligence is the theme as two Idaho State University philosophy professors, Jim Skidmore and Michael Roche, discuss the topic "Minding AI: Philosophical Approaches and Perspectives." The 10th annual Art á la Carte Silent Auction is this Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. The event, which raises money for student scholarships and the visiting artist program, will take place on the fourth floor of ISU’s Fine Arts Building. The main event includes a silent art auction with jewelry, ceramics, prints, sculptures, paintings and wearables. The event will also include a free children's art activity, and the ISU Fine Arts Club will simultaneously be holding a bake sale to support student activities. All are welcome to attend. Animated feature "Migration" is the movie this weekend at the Bengal Theater in the Pond Student Union, with shows Thursday through Saturday at 7 p.m., along with a 4 p.m. Saturday matinee. A family of ducks intend to head south for the winter, but are misdirected to New York City where they face a multitude of challenges. Admission is $3 for the public, $2 for ISU staff and children under 12, and free for ISU students with a Bengal ID.

The 16th annual Nepalese Night is this Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Pond Student Union Ballroom. Hosted by the Nepalese Students Association at ISU, the event explores the beauty of the Nepalese community, culture and their delicious cuisines. Advance dinner tickets run $15 for ISU students and $16 for ISU faculty, staff and the public or $17 at the door while supplies last. The ISU men’s basketball team takes on Weber State this Saturday at 6 p.m. in Reed Gym. The men go into the final two weeks of the regular season vying for a first-round bye in the Big Sky Tournament, a task they'll likely achieve if they win their remaining home games. Tickets run $12 to $17 and can be purchased online at isu.edu/tickets or at the Reed Gym ticket office which opens one hour before the game.

ISU's Season of Note presents DRUMLine Live this Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the Jensen Grand Hall at the Stephens Performing Arts Center. This show-stopping attraction, created by the musical team behind 20th Century Fox's hit "Drumline" movies, has already paraded onto some of the biggest theatre stages in America, Japan and Korea with a world-class cast of percussionists, musicians and dancers. Tickets run $32 to $38 and can be purchased online at isu.edu/tickets.

"Three Musketeers: D'Artagnan" plays this Sunday at 4 and 7 p.m. in the Bengal Theater. Winner of The Guardian's Best Movies award, this movie, based on the famed novel by Alexandre Dumas, tells the story of D'Artagnan as he finds himself in a conspiracy to overthrow the crown and must join the famed swordsmen to try and save the country from a sinister plot. "Good, galloping fun," writes the Los Angeles Times, while Empire Magazine calls it, "An epic adaptation worthy of its scope, rendered in delicious French by its dangerously sexy cast." Looking ahead to next week, Golden Globe-nominated "Dream Scenario" plays March 3 at 4 and 7 p.m. in the Bengal Theater. Best actor nominee Nicolas Cage stars in this story about a family man who finds his life turned upside down when millions of strangers suddenly start seeing him in their dreams. However, when his nighttime appearances take a nightmarish turn, he's forced to navigate the consequences of his newfound stardom. “Dream Scenario is often funny and frequently surreal," writes the New York Times, while Hollywood Reporter says, "Cage is comedy gold in one of the year's sharpest comedies yet."
