POCATELLO — After 24 years of serving the mental health arena within Pocatello, Candlewood Family Counseling Center has closed its doors as of April 1. The business was initiated in 2000 and was operated by Ella Dingman, LCSW, at 335 N. Main St. in Pocatello.

The 8,000-square-foot building was perfect in serving the community and the many clients that chose CFCC for many types of services. Services such as individual psychotherapy, community-based rehabilitative services, case management, peer support, group therapy, marriage counseling and others.

The success of her business was sustained by her passion, education and experience, integrity, willingness to serve, focus on her mission statement and motto, and the quality service of her employees.

Throughout those years of business, her established Mission Statement was: "Candlewood Family Counseling Center Inc. is dedicated to assist adults and children with chronic and persistent mental illness or developmental disabilities, to empower them with skills to be successful in life and to meet their full potential to live healthy, productive lives."

In addition, her established motto was: "empowering individuals, strengthening families, and improving communities."

Many thanks to the various clients who trusted and participated within the many services offered through CFCC. In addition, the other mental health agencies and the support via government and insurance resources.
