n Today at 3:30 p.m., The Amazing Race for students will begin in the Office of Student Involvement and Orientation in the ISU Pond Student Union. Teams will compete for prizes and undertake a treasure hunt across the campus in search of the Spirit Log.

n ISU will host a forum on service learning across disciplines today from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Pond Student Union Wood and Little Wood River Rooms. The first event is a workshop from 4 to 5:30 p.m. that will feature ISU professors speaking about course-based service learning projects and resource tables with information about co-curricular service learning initiatives. The second event is a keynote talk titled “Service Learning: Why the Humanities and Everyone Else Needs It Now” from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The keynote speaker is Roberta Rosenberg, long-time service learning advocate and professor emerita of English from Christopher Newport University. n The College of Eastern Idaho is hosting a grand opening on Friday starting at noon to honor the gifts provided by William J. and Shirley Maeck, including two laboratories and a testing center. Included in the grand opening, which will take place in Health Education Building rooms 6163 and 6164, will be a luncheon, ribbon cutting and tour of the facilities.

n ISU President Kevin Satterlee and his wife, Margaret, and the ISU Alumni Association invite you to the annual President’s Alumni Recognition Reception and Dinner on Friday in the Pond Student Union Ballroom. There is a reception from 6 to 7 p.m., and dinner starts at 7 p.m. Cost is $50 per person or $400 for a table of eight.

n The fourth annual Men’s and Women’s Alumni Basketball Game is set for Friday. Many of ISU’s former stars will suit up to play at Reed’s Gym, with the current 2018-19 men’s and women’s teams in attendance to meet and greet the community. The event is free.
