The College of Idaho finds itself atop the NAIA Football polls, but the Yotes don’t hold that honor alone.

The Yotes share the No. 1 spot in the latest polls released Monday with Keiser (Fla.). The College of Idaho (4-0) climbed from the No. 3 spot after beating previously ranked No. 2 Montana Tech 35-19 on Saturday. It marks the first time the College of Idaho has ever been ranked No. 1 in the national polls.

Keiser, which had been the No. 1 team in the previous poll, picked up six first-place votes, while the College of Idaho picked up the other five. The Seahawks (2-1), runners up in the NAIA each of the previous two seasons, picked up a 58-21 win over previously unbeaten Cumberlands (Ky.) on Saturday. Their lone loss came against NCAA Division II Anderson (SC), a 21-14 loss in the season opener.

The College of Idaho has won its four games by an average of 35.3 points per game. The Yotes open Frontier Conference West Division play on Saturday, hosting Simpson (Calif.) (2-2) at Simplot Stadium.
