The Portneuf District Library in Chubbuck will be closed through Nov. 12 due to staffing issues, including several cases of COVID-19 among library staff.

CHUBBUCK — Officials with the Portneuf District Library announced Thursday they will be closed through Nov. 12 due to several COVID-19 cases among their staff, as well as some other unforeseen staffing issues.

Library officials said in a Facebook post the break will give their staff time to recover and they should resume normal hours upon reopening.

Library officials thanked the public for their patience.

“Our staff has remained committed to community health and safety through continuing to wear masks and sanitize surfaces regularly. However, if you begin to feel symptoms and have been in the library this week please consider getting tested,” library officials said in the Facebook post.
