The Idaho State-Civic Symphony will host its second concert of the season, Voices Oppressed and Liberated, at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, at the Stephens Performing Arts Center in Pocatello. The program will feature the works of Dmitri Shostakovich, Gioachino Rossini, Richard Strauss and Joseph Haydn as they explore the themes of suffocating oppression and triumphant liberation.

Friday & Saturday, Nov. 7-8The 55th annual ISU Women’s Club Holiday Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at the Pond Student Union Ballroom.

Saturday, Nov. 8The Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 518 N Fifth Ave. in Pocatello, will host a Geek Gyro and Pastry Fall Fest from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., or supplies run out.

Pocatello Roots will host the fifth annual Christmas Market at the Museum of Clean, 702 S. First Ave. in Pocatello, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8.

The Pocatello Veterans Day Parade will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 8. Seating will be available at Caldwell Park where the parade emcee will announce details about each parade entry. Sunday, Nov. 9“Runt” will be shown at 4 and 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 9, at ISU’s Bengal Theater. A clever 10-year-old girl must save her family’s farm from a greedy landlord. So, she enlists her adopted stray dog, Runt, to try and win the local and national dog show competitions to fund their efforts to stop foreclosure. Admission is free for ISU students, $2 for ISU staff and children under 12, and $3 for the public.

Monday, Nov. 10Zoo Idaho and Jim Dandy Brewing will host Science Trivia at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, at the brewery, 305 E. Lander St. in Pocatello. At this free event, you can have teams of one to four players.

The Veteran’s Day Salute will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10, at the Blackfoot Performing Arts Center, 870 S. Fisher St. in Blackfoot, featuring live music and comedy from the Bar D Wranglers.
