Saturday, Dec. 6The Pocatello Model Railroad and Historical Society will hold an open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, in the Union Pacific Railroad brick building 59 south of the UPRR depot and just north of the Benton Overpass. Everyone is welcome and admission is free.

The Goodbye Hello Craft Show is set for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Mountain View Event Center, 1567 Way to Grace Ave. in Pocatello.

Saturday & Sunday, Dec. 6-7Aid For Friends will host its 19th annual Homeless Encampment on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 6-7, at Caldwell Park in Pocatello. During this one-of-a-kind event, community members sleep outside at Caldwell Park on one of the coldest nights of the year to raise awareness and funds for the homeless shelter. Everyone is welcome to come take a look at the encampment and learn more about the cause, donate canned food from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., sing and dance along to live music Saturday night or gather around the burn barrel to warm your hands and heart. Participants will receive winter weather safety training the day of the event, a soup kitchen style dinner that evening and a hot breakfast the next morning.

Sunday, Dec. 7SXSW Film Festival winner “The Baltimorons” plays at 4 and 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, at ISU’s Bengal Theater. A newly sober man’s Christmas Eve dental emergency leads to an unexpected romance with his older dentist as they explore Baltimore together.
